Leslie and Jim are happy to welcome you to our online art gallery, bookstore, and gift shop! We are glad you are here.

About Us: Leslie and Jim are award-winning creative people, thoroughly Generation X, who paint, photograph, write novels and short stories, travel, research family histories, and collect rare stamps, and we’d love to share our world with you. In the late 1990s, Jim sold several silkscreen prints to CNN, and they mounted the art in their DC office. Jim continued to make and sell a variety of silkscreened prints and collages. In 2008, Leslie’s large charcoal drawings were selected for an exhibition in San Antonio. In 2017, Leslie’s painting of Peggy Peahen, inspired by Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, won a art contest in Germany. We got the chance that same year to explore small cities like Delft in the Netherlands, as well as the bustling city of Amsterdam. We thoroughly enjoyed a visit to the Rijksmuseum, where we got to see the work of Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Van Gogh up close.

Leslie’s Paintings: Leslie has three painting collections to share with you. The first is called “Reasonable Foximilies,” an original collection of oil paintings inspired by Dutch artist Vermeer that feature animals. The second collection of oil paintings also combines famous paintings and animals, but was inspired by Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci. The third collection is full of beautiful watercolors.

Jim’s Photographs: Jim got serious about photography while living in San Antonio. He helped found a large photography club, FlickClubSA, and he learned a lot from his new friends. In 2008, the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs worked with the club to promote The Spurs across social media. In 2009, Jim partnered with the San Antonio Museum of Art to help promote an extension of San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk. Between 2007 and 2010, Jim’s FlickClubSA had shows and sales in the Blue Star Arts complex in San Antonio. Jim has long had an interest in both foreign and ancient people, far away cities, and ancient history (especially Rome and Egypt). Browse his collection of photos from Germany, Morocco, Europe, and The Alamo and the nearby missions of San Antonio, Texas.

Leslie’s Novel “Summer of 1984” is now available at Amazon.com! It’s great summer reading for Generation X and our kids. Click here for the paperback version; click here for the digital Amazon Kindle version; click here for her other novels.

Leslie’s Stories: Leslie published an interview and short stories (often in response to short story challenges) on the websites Spillwords, Friday Flash Fiction, Alien Buddha Press, and Nat1. Those challenges often require writers to incorporate certain unusual parameters to be used as particular characters, genres, or focal points. (Nat1 published Leslie’s story, “Dot and Loop,” along with 16 other short science fiction stories in an anthology called “Star-Crossed and Other Tales of Intergalactic Love.” Buy that book at Amazon here.)
